Apple blackouts vacation days from September 15th through the 28th

A leaked document revealed on Friday shows that Apple is imposing a vacation blackout for its employees from September 15th through September 28th. Traditionally, such blackouts are done during a period of time that includes the launch of the next-gen Apple iPhone so that it can be “all hands on deck” at the Cupertino based manufacturer just when it needs phones and desks to be manned.

The leaked calendar in the photograph is for employees of AppleCare, during the last two weeks of September. The picture shows available vacation time dropping off through September 28th. The calendar was apparently accessed from a virtual private network using an internal Apple employee domain. Any identifying marks were removed.

Apple is expected to unveil the Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C on September 10th with a launch expected on September 20th. Two models are expected to be released by Apple including the full priced Apple iPhone 5S and the budget priced Apple iPhone 5C. The full priced model should come in four colors, black, white, gold and graphite. New features are expected to include a fingerprint scanner for identification, a new camera sensor and a faster A7 processor. The iPhone 5C is likely to feature a thicker plastic casing in a choice of 5 colors, red, blue, white, yellow and green.
