The Nokia RX-114 has just visited the FCC and the device turned out to be a tablet. When blown up to readable size, the diagrams and some of the text in the FCC documentation show that the device visiting the Feds was indeed a Nokia manufactured slate. The device supports LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 13 and 17 along with some compatibility for HSPA+ and GSM/EDGE. This means that the slate will work on Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.

This device could be a variation of the Nokia Lumia 2520, which is rumored to be a Nokia branded Windows RT powered tablet headed for Verizon. The tablet is supposed to be unveiled on October 22nd in Abu Dhabi along with the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet.

The tablet is expected to come to market with a 10.1 inch screen, driven by a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Nokia plans on offering protective covers that double as a keyboard. One will be like the Microsoft Surface Touch Cover with a flat, touch QWERTY keyboard. Another will be like the Type Cover, which has raised keys similar to the keyboard you would see on a PC.

We expect to see the Nokia tablet launch in November.
