iOS 7.1 beta downloads

Hot on the heels of its iOS 7.0.4 rollout, Apple today is treating its registered iOS developers to a treat that’s just for them. The Cupertino firm has officially posted a beta version of iOS 7.1 to its developer portal, giving those users that shell out $99 per year for the dev program an opportunity to try out the next big iOS release. The iOS 7.1 beta is available to the iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and fifth-generation iPod touch.

There’s no word yet on exactly what goodies the iOS 7.1 update might contain, but because Apple is making the jump from iOS 7.0.4 to iOS 7.1, it’ll definitely be interesting to see what the company has up its sleeve for the first big update to iOS 7. If you’re a registered iOS developer and you’d like to find out for yourself what Apple has baked into iOS 7.1, you can snag the new software from the iOS developer center right now.
